2007 (Playing Catch up)

I was inspired to catch up our family blog after reading a friends family blog....So, here is me, playing a bit o' blog catch-up!! ENJOY!

Another fire breaks out...

The day Vanessa was born, October 25th, fires broke out ALL over San Diego. Our home was evacuated. We were fortunate, though, to still have a home to come back to. Well, on her birthday again this year...we see smoke. San Diego was up in flames, again. This is a photo of all the smoke & clouds being blown out to sea.

I was kinda excited she wanted to be Bat Girl for Halloween...I thought what a neat mixture of Girl Power! The kids at her preschool have a ton of capes that the kids wear...they make up superhero names or wear them like a skirt...some have the bat symbol or princess crown stitched on them! Princesses can be superheros, too!

We had a Pink Foil Christmas tree this year!

We had done a lot of home projects during the holidays...We just finished re-texturing and painting the living room earlier in the evening. I'm covered in paint in this photo (and tired)! But nothing like decorating the Christmas tree after hardwork...Although it was pink, we still used traditional Swedish decor: Straw Ornaments....

We visited my folks(Jenny) for Christmas. Vanessa got to play with a BUNCH of Cousins! This is one of my fav photos from the trip...This is my Grandma Carol (Van's Great-Grandma!) who taught my mother about our Swedish heritage, who then showed my brothers and I where we came from...

My Ol' Highschool friend Mr. Ryan White, from Idaho, came back to San Diego on business, and I got a chance to see him! I love that when in the area ol' friends stop by to say "hi", or want to meet up for dinner. To many more visits!

Cousin Stephanie came in for a visit! We all had such a good time! I love this women. She is honest, funny and always has a very contagious smile on her face.

This is my friend, Janice. She is a one heck of a lady! A wife, a momma, a nanny, and a friend! We all took this hardworkin' women out on a Birthday LADIES Nite out at Lei Lounge....FAB Pom Martinis and amazing food. Happy Birthday, Janice!

So, my friends (and neighbors) are having a bouncing baby boy in April!! And I was asked to paint lil Jacob's room. They chose the theme "Velveteen Rabbit". How classic is that? So far all I have done is the willow tree.... I hope the lil fella enjoys it!! When I am done with the room, I'll post more pictures!

January's Balboa Park Adventure!!

Seaworld in January

Back in January, Chris came down for a visit with Owen. We took the kiddos to Seaworld....We had sooooo much fun!

So sorry for the lack of blogging.....
We are healthy and happy. Vanessa turned 3 years old this past fall and for Thanksgiving we were with Mimi and Poppy enjoying the family and oranges all around us. Before Christmas Matt and I went to Vegas and had a ball....and Christmas we were ALL sick with the flu that has been plaguing the Southern California.....ick.

We have big plans this year...
Between Rafting and home remodelings to baby showers and East coast Weddings (x2!!!!) and our Kauai trip to wrap up our summer! So somewhere along the line, Im sure we'll run into each other.
