Mimi & Poppys' House

Visiting anyone of my Grandparents, when I was a child, was always a special experience. Almost magical, really... And now as my parents have become Grandparents, they too, have provided a special place for their grandkids....something to be remembered forever. I was just at their house for a quick visit and took photos of only some of the things that were magically for me...I cant even begin to explain what it is that Vanessa and Owen get to see...but I am sure it is amazing...I cant wait to hear them tell us about their childhood memories of how they once saw Mimi & Poppy's House...

The NEW San Diego Childrens Museum

We met up with some friends at the NEW San Diego Childrens Museum. It was really NEAT and lots of hands-on activities for kids of all ages.....I especially loved all of the beautiful, colorful ART that went into making this building! Tons of creativity!!

Playing Cards with Nan

Before Nan and Nana went back East for the summer. Nan was teaching Van how to play WAR.
She really enjoys this game and caught on quick. You know Nan just looooved the fact Vanessa was sitting still long enough to play cards.....

Van Art

I have a fabulous collection of art....Most of it is done by Vanessa. I keep or take photos of most of her artwork. This is one I liked a lot. Great use of paint on her 'canvas'. THIS is a Masterpiece.

I showed Vanessa how to sew on a button!
She really seemed to enjoy it. My mother showed me how when I was about 6.
And I thought why not see if she can...she TOTALLY can.

Happy 4th of July!

We celebrated at Nana's house with family...a big Hurrah! before Nan and Nana took off for the summer back to New Hampshire. We will miss them.
